One album everyone needs… Paolo Nutini // Caustic Love
Once again, the Scotsman has given us a well-rounded album; ranging from the full on funk of jazz and soul to stripped-back gentle chords on an electric guitar, I think ‘Caustic Love’ is one album everyone needs this summer. Nutini shows how dextrous he is in the musical sphere, passion-filled yet soft, there is something for everyone on ‘Caustic Love’. It is quite experimental and mix-tape like with interludes like ‘Bus Talk’, it show that the artist isn’t afraid to show his many different facets. And even the die-hard fans from ‘These Streets (2006) and ‘Sunny Side Up’ (2009) will cherish this album because it still has Paolo Nutini vibes written all over.
This track is called ‘Someone Like You’ and just from the words I knew it would be a love song. It is the final track on the album and by far the sweetest; it is just over two minutes of honey.
‘Someone like you wasn’t meant to be defined or confined or even met eye to eye… just there to be explored and in all the while adored…’
So if you need new music, give this record a whirl!
